(Clearwisdom.net) Shen Yun's 2009 World Tour show took the stage at the Parade Theater in Sydney, Australia, from April 19 to 26. At Sunday's matinee performance, audience members gave the show glowing reviews. Several in the audience shared their impressions.

Finance Company Manager Enjoys the Chinese Legends

Ms. Trithosadej, a manager at a Sydney-based financial company, attended the Sunday matinee performance and stopped to share her opinion. She said the show was "one of the best I have ever seen."

Ms. Trithosadej grew up in Thailand and was familiar with Buddhism. Having seen such elements depicted in the show, she said, "You never get bored with this show ... especially the stories about Buddhism. The music is great, and the scenes ... it looked like the real thing. It's an excellent show; it's one of the best I have ever seen!"

Police Officer: "It's Just Spectacular"

Ms. Larsen is a police officer. Ms. Larsen highly praised the show after seeing it with friends on Sunday afternoon. "I think it's spectacular and colorful. It's just spectacular, to tell the honest truth. The color, and ... the different costumes from the different regions which you wouldn't be aware of."

She went on, "You're looking at it and thinking, 'My goodness!' And also to see the traditional Chinese [dance]. It's absolutely spectacular. I think you can see that from the audience [members] and their reaction... As a matter of fact, my girlfriend is absolutely going to hate me that I didn't bring her.

"I think it's wonderful that there is somewhere for these young people to go to obtain the art that is being lost. Just have a look at them--we were just sitting there in awe. They're just absolutely wonderful... They're all so young, and I think they're so intense about their performance, because they want to bring what they believe ... out in their performance."

She was especially moved by the program that depicts the persecution of Falun Gong in China "Heaven Awaits Us Despite Persecution." "Actually, I had tears in my eyes, because I did know about the persecution over there and how they're trying to bring awareness of it to other nations. But a lot of people are very much unaware of what is really going on over there. I think this brings that in, in a nice way, a cultural way, to the forefront, so people can understand the culture and what is happening today."

"It Just Touched My Heart"

James, the head of a sales firm, said he found the performances "very, very stimulating. The exhibition this afternoon is a wonderful rendition of classical Chinese culture. I'm very happy that your organization is doing what you can to reinvigorate this culture, which almost disappeared as a result of the Cultural Revolution."

James, godson Jayden, and Jayden's mother

James explained, "I liked the [dance about] Mulan, who went and fought in place of her father, showing genuine respect for her parents... I think that is one of the finest things about Chinese traditional culture--its respect for elders, and it's something here in the West we have lost, probably because in the West we've lost many of our traditional values."

James's godson, Jayden, said he found the show "mind-blowing." He said, "The show is ... absolutely fantastic. There are all these bright colors, and the dancing is just so graceful. The singing is just so touching. It just touched my heart the entire time."

James added, "So many Chinese would appreciate it, and I think it's wonderful that people who aren't of Chinese extraction can appreciate it as well."
